Policy is a principle or rule to guide day to day decision making. Some decisions are fairly objective IE a rule for creating company passwords. Other decisions are quite subjective IE how to select a new employee. The key benefit to policy development is that once implemented, it will ensure a more fair, equitable and transparent process to distribute an organization’s scarce resources.
Policy Development: An organization or Council wants to develop or update policies IE leadership, personnel, finance, housing.
